Meaningful growth begins with feeling truly heard. Together, we'll explore what's beneath the surface — with care, curiosity, and a genuine belief in your capacity to change.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
— Carl Rogers
I'm Dovid Rosenblatt, a Licensed Master Social Worker based in New City, New York. Before entering clinical practice, I spent 15 years as a Rebbi/Menahel educating and mentoring young adults — experience that continues to shape how I show up in the therapy room. My work is guided by a deep respect for each person's unique story and a genuine belief that change is possible — not despite your struggles, but through understanding them.
I bring a warm, direct style to sessions. You won't find a detached observer across the room; you'll find someone actively engaged with your experience, asking real questions, and helping you make sense of what's happening beneath the surface. Sessions are offered in English or Yiddish.
Dovid Rosenblatt works with teenagers, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity questions, and more — particularly in the Orthodox Jewish community. I also have particular depth in addictions and recovery, supporting clients through substance use, behavioral addictions, and the recovery process.
I draw from multiple therapeutic frameworks to meet you where you are. No two people are alike — so no two treatment plans should be either. Together we find what actually works for you.
Identify and reframe the thought patterns that keep you stuck. CBT, ACT, and DBT offer practical, skill-building approaches grounded in decades of research — helping you change unhelpful thinking, accept what you can't control, and build emotional regulation skills.
For couples and individuals, EFT helps you understand emotional responses and build the secure connections that allow real intimacy and trust.
Explore how past experiences and early relationships shape present patterns. Psychodynamic work, IFS parts work, and attachment-based insight help you understand what's happening beneath the surface — often the foundation that makes every other change possible.
The therapeutic relationship itself is a vehicle for change. I bring genuine care and honest engagement — not clinical distance — into every session.
Faith, community, and identity matter. I offer a space that honors your religious and cultural background as part of — not separate from — your healing.
Insight without direction can feel like spinning wheels. We'll keep sessions focused on meaningful goals so that growth is visible, not abstract.
These are the areas where I've developed particular depth — though if you don't see your concern listed, I encourage you to reach out anyway.
